I had several triangle pieces left over from this quilt and I wanted to use them for something. So we cut them into 2.5 inch squares and I designed this quilt just for those scraps! Every lady in quilt ministry sewed at lease 2 nine patches of the border. Such a great group effort.
The center needed a special touch, so we used the cricut to cut out a horse. It was appliqued to a brown block and framed with the checker board pieces. The brown fabric does have some texture to it, it's called mirage. But from a distance it looks solid so I quilted the straight lines on it to make it look like wooden slats. The criss cross on the checkerboard adds a nice touch to the outside frame.

Teddy's Disappearing Nine Quilt
I just love this pattern because it goes together so quickly. We did this one with only 3 supporting colors. I do like to use more colors usually, but this one is cute!

Gray and Yellow Quilt
This quilt was a group effort by several different ladies in our quilt ministry. We had enough to put some on the back too. I love it when we can do that!

Watermelon Candy
This quilt reminds me a jolly ranchers! So fun to make and I had enough left over to put some on the back and make another one. It's in the pile to cut...might be a while!

Softly Random
Here's the latest quilt finish for the ministry. I have 1 more day until the kids get home to get the rest finished! There are 4 ready for binding and 1 still on the Big Lady...agh!!! I didn't know what to call this quilt. So creative, huh? I love the softness of this one and it's so easy to make. I better get back to work!

Airplane Quilt
I found this cool airplane fabric while shopping with a friend one day! I wanted to have large pieces of it on the quilt, but at the same time, I wanted something interesting to go with it. So I made this block that reminds me of a propeller. (It also looks like X's and O's now that I see the picture of it!)
Close up of the blocks. I tried a large meander on it and my husband says that is looks like the streamers that follow an airplane in the air or perhaps the water vapor trail. I have several more quilts lined up for the Big Lady and with the kids at camp this week, I should be very productive!

Flowers on Black Quilt
Been a while since we finished a quilt, huh? Well, we got this one whipped together very quickly (with more almost finished)! Photo's not so great, but it's dinner time! We meet this Thursday at 6 pm. Hope you can make it!
