Scrappy Stars

It's time to use your scraps! Put your scraps to good use in this new Scrappy Star pattern. Choose your three favorite colors, add in a background in a variety of fabrics and you will end up with a beautiful scrappy quilt. I used over 30 different background fabrics in my throw sized quilt. I was surprised to find so many. Each of my three colors has at least 8 different fabrics. The more the merrier!

I love scrappy quilts so it was about time I had a pattern in one. There were so many neutral fabrics in my stash and my scrap bins. The stars are made from scraps, but the sashing is made with strips. That helped this quilt go together much faster than you think it would take.

I had a white and gray print in my stash and used some of the scraps in my three colors to make a strip for the back. I only had to cut a couple pieces to make it long enough. I love the pop of color!

This pattern is perfect for those stuck in their house and want to make something now! No waiting necessary. You can find Scrappy Stars Pattern in my etsy shop here.

  5. Hi Shannon! Ooh, I love stars of all shapes and sizes. And scrappy ones are even better! Look at those pretty fabrics all coming together in the same color family. Great job! And your quilt holders are doing their usual fabulous job. ~smile~ Roseanne
