Blogger's Quilt Festival - Boomerang Quilt

My entry for the Blogger's Quilt Festival is this paper pieced Boomerang Quilt. I used Kona Cotton colors Iron Gray, Pepper, Sprout, Sunflower, and Bahama Blue with a Snow background.

It is quilted with a modern freehand wave about an inch apart.  The back is a simple grungy gray.

Hope you are enjoying all the beautiful quilts at the festival this year!  Thanks to Amy for hosting this fun event!

  1. Great use of color to create a mood. Your quilt is contemporary with a retro vibe. Nice choice of quilting design, too!

  2. I don't work with solids too much but this would be the perfect pattern for them. I especially love the quilting--that I can do.

  7. Your quilt is gorgeous, Shannon! The design reminds me of the 1960s design, but the colors are fresh and modern. Think avocado, gold, harvest brown, and orange if you ever want to go 1960 all the way. Goodness it seems so very long ago. Stunning finish, thanks for sharing.
