Lakeview Terrace

60 x 70

This is a scrappy quilt made from some leftover fabrics that have been sitting in my closet for a couple years now. I had a bunch of 5" strips that I didn't want to put away because I loved the color combo and thought it would make a good quilt. So I grabbed some olive green to go with it and used the tutorial here to make the blocks.

I had some white on white dot print in my stash, so I decided to use that rather than a solid. It looks nice here, but I accidentally made 3 extra blocks and now I don't know what to do with them. They probably won't go in another scrap quilt because the background will stand out. But maybe they could do in a scrap quilt like this one.

Backing was a hard choice for me, but I went with a solidish looking dark blue. Purple or green would pull out too much of either of those colors and blue seemed a neutral solution.

I love this pattern so much, I started another one with a bright and happy color scheme. The blocks are currently in progress, but I'll have to purchase a backing for this one I think.

It will be perfect for spring!
