I think this fabric does not picture well from far away so I put this one in here for you to see. Cross hatch fabric is some of my current favorites!

Down the Pipe Quilt Pattern
Knot So Quilt Pattern
This pattern is called Knot So and it is one of my new patterns. There are 2 throw sizes included in this pattern. The one I made is the smaller version. It is a fun and easy quilt to make. Below is the larger throw size.
The baby size has two borders added to it to make it a bit larger. You could add them to any of the quilts, but the directions are only included in this size.
I love this version with a navy background. Makes the medium blue and the gray look like boxes hiding underneath it. Find the Knot So Pattern in my etsy shop. 6 sizes baby to king.

Captain's Log
I chose the backing fabric before I picked the front fabrics. It is such a pretty print I've had in my stash for a while. So nice to use what I have this year.
I had a hard time choosing which one of these to make. I really loved this Christmas version, but I didn't have the fabric for it. Red and aqua are my Christmas colors this year.

Some Postcard Quilts
It has been a crazy month already! Two postcard quilts were ordered pretty much at the same time so we (yep, my family helps make this one) got the blocks made and laid out a couple weeks ago. This first one is a queen size. Our huge polydactyl cat named Rosy was very curious as to what we were doing outside on this very cold day!
The two pillow shams went with the King size quilt below. These are a fun addition to the bed size quilts. It was way too cold this morning to get a picture outside of this king size quilt and I forgot to get one yesterday when I finished it. I forgot how big a king size is. It filled my quilting frame to the edges.
Whew, so glad to get that one finished and mailed off. I haven't quilted this much in what seems like forever. I am now ready to take a break and eat some turkey!

Mini HST Wall Quilt
I only quilted in the white spots and used some l's and some back and forth. But between the diagonal quilting and the thickness of the HSTs it is so sloppy looking. And a bit puffy in a few spots. At least from a distance you can't tell too much.
Note to self - let's not do little triangles! And for goodness sake, don't try to custom quilt it when you are in a hurry!

A Modern Style Quilt with an Old Fashioned Vibe
The only backing fabric print that I had that matched was this marbled blue one because I sold all the old fashioned, floral prints. They are just not my style. I do love this dark/light pattern though as it seems to have taken these old fashioned prints and added a modern flare to it. Maybe just a little, enough for my liking.

A Little Wall Hanging for Me!
While I haven't been getting as much sewing time as I would like lately, I have been cleaning up around my sewing room. I had these tiny little scraps left from a quilt I made years ago. They were the corners that got cut off from a snowball block. They were already sewn into HST so all I had to do was trim them. These little half square triangles finish at 1 inch!!! It's the smallest block I've ever made. I chose this star pattern - can you see how they are interacting?
It took longer to sew this top together than a baby quilt! I just worked on it one section at a time and soon it came together. I took a photo of each quadrant to make sure nothing got turned around while sewing.
I wanted to do something different for the quilting. Straight lines or diagonal lines didn't seem like they would work, so I thought of something curvy. I quilted a loop in every square alternating up and down so I could quilt across the rows. Not perfect, but I love the amount of quilting on it. It has nice texture and is laying perfectly flat.
I've also been working on 2 lap quilts, and I Spy quilt, and another wall hanging made from some bright leftover HSTs from another project. Nice to have projects laying around for when I can sneak in some sewing time.

Scrappy Rainbow Quilt
I'm still working my way through my abundance of scraps. This one is fun - I always like when a rainbow is on the diagonal. The colors scraps are cut 2.5 x 3.5 so I used my 2.5" strips for this quilt. I also used some scraps of Kona snow cut to 1.5" x 6.5".
So many yummy fabrics! I found this arrow print in my stash of backing fabrics. Not my favorite I must say, but everything else I had didn't go at all.
The binding was a challenge. Usually I would have gone with snow, but the back is whiter than the front so neither white or snow was going to work. I tried blue and red, but didn't like those either. My husband came to my rescue and told me to try purple. Yep, I like this purple.
Summer is the perfect season for a happy rainbow quilt. Especially since we have had so. much. rain. I'm not really ready for the hot weather, but at least the rain is finally done and spring was cool. I'm happy for any time I get to spend in my sewing room no matter the weather!

Solid Scrap Quilt - Red
A rainbow quilt that isn't too rainbowy. It is a nice change for me. But don't worry, the next one will be a true rainbow quilt. Can't not use scraps to make a rainbow quilt.

Solid Scrappy Quilt - Blue
I've been trying to use up scraps this year (and last year) but I hadn't used any of the solid scraps yet. All of my solids scraps are cut into 2.5" squares and stored in boxes. Most of them are left over from making Minecraft quilts or Post Card quilts so there are tons of colors in my boxes.
When I was making the 4 patches, I accidently used the outside border pieces and made too many, so I got in my box and grabbed some more pieces. Yep, there is a second quilt coming...
For this quilt, I chose a triangle rainbow print for the back and a dark navy blue for the binding. I like that it is fun, but not too bright.
You can see in this photo, that I used EVERY color, even the natural tones of light brown and shades of gray. Light, dark, medium - they all go. No scrap left behind! Up next is the red version.
