The yellow pieces in this quilt came from my indecisiveness when I made my Splash of Color quilt. I think I tried 7 or 8 different yellows before deciding on just one for that quilt. Some of the black and white prints are scraps from that quilt too.
I used all the scraps I had on hand and didn't even have any left for the back. So unlike my usual back this one is just one fabric. It was a little boring so I only showed the corner!

I am really drawn to those colors these days! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteIt's a summer happy quilt. And you used scraps! Win-win!
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun!
ReplyDeleteLove this happy quilt!
ReplyDeleteHi Shannon,
ReplyDeleteThese are one of my favorite color combinations! My niece had yellow and gray for her wedding colors, and who doesn't like a little black thrown in?! This is gorgeous and your quilt holder is doing their usual great job. All the fabrics look so darn pretty, and isn't it nice to have another quilt out of scraps from a different one?! ~smile~ Roseanne
You are such a speedy quilt. Congrats! on your latest finish.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had a little time to do one of yours and now your rail has room for something new! I can see why you think that back is boring since you love doing pieced backs-they really do add something to a quilt.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Very on-trend colour scheme.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt really caught my eye BEE-ing that I've been working with black and yellow fabrics this past week. Yellow, black and gray is also one of my favorite combos and I always have projects lined up since it's the colors that I can make quilts for Micah's family. Aren't strip quilts just too fun to make?
