50" x 62"
My scrap bins were overflowing and I couldn't get them shut! What a terrible problem to have at the start of the new year...well no not really. Just means that it's time to make some scrap quilts! When I make a quilt, I typically like to have a color scheme, but my options were very limited because I didn't have a whole lot of orange, green, and brown since I had used them to make the pumpkin quilt.
For this quilt, I chose dark blue, aqua, olive/forest green, golden yellow, and shades of cream. I used all 2.5" squares from my scrap bins. There is still a bit left over of some of the colors but there is starting to be some room in my bins. I found a navy blue fabric from connecting threads that was a close match for the back and binding. This is a great pattern for using 2.5" scraps. What do you do with your scraps?

This is lovely! Great design with the 16 patch!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHi Shannon! I knew I had seen this beauty on IG but missed the post somehow. I just LOVE using stash for quilt tops - it's like a free quilt to me. It looks nice and squishy warm, and your quilt holder did a fabulous job as usual. I think since it's a new year they should get a raise! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteLove the color combo, great way to combine the scraps.
